The Earth as an organism.

The Universe is a game of social organisms  that evolve from cells, herds and ecosystems, into bodies and organisms. Such is the case of the economic ecosystem which is evolving thanks to sophisticated networks of information, into a Global organism -the Metal-Earth-. To that aim, a global industrial brain that connects machines and company-mothers through wireless communications is almost built: the net. Problem is the net is not a human brain, since we men cannot perceive the net. It is a brain for machines. Only robots and 'metal-ears' (modems, mobiles) can perceive the net. The net plainly speaking is a planetary brain which will be used by informative machines, the new species that are increasingly controlling our planet. In that sense the nightmares of sci-fiction films such as Matrix, are far more real than the techno-utopian dreams of our abstract economists and abstract scientists, unaware of the biological nature of economical processes.

The net, the parable of Matrix. Truth or fantasy?

People hate robots. Despite so much propaganda in favor of technology, people go to see 'Blade Runner' and smile when the robot crushes the skull of the scientist that plays-to-be-God, because the instinct of survival is very deep-rooted in the soul of people . People go to see 'Terminator' and 'Matrix' where the hero massacres the robot, or ends with the net, just before the net and its Robots end with mankind. The hero does what people subconsciously want to do, but are unable to do, brain-washed by technological messianism, and law-abiding behavior.

What is real of those dreams? Much more that we dare to recognize.

Today Computers become all pervading. Computers companies control stock-markets, who control governments. Computer workers substitute white collar workers, and 'slim' companies of human jobs. Human thinkers and scientists, increasingly believe only those models of reality, based in computer statistics. A computer wins Kasparov for the chess world title. The net itself, is becoming sort of a budding 'Matrix', a global brain made of cellular computers, a system of information which surrounds us everywhere. The net increasingly is used to control semi-automated factories, defense systems, stock-markets, sale systems, and our ideas... - the entire information system of mankind.

Yet the net is not perceived by humans. We humans only perceive light and sound. Machines perceive the net. Robots perceive the net. The roboguard of Thailand moves under net orders. What this means is that robots soon will have an added advantage over human beings. They have instant access to the entire information of the world. They have instant communication with other robots thousand of miles away. It is said that the first men who talked killed the Neanderthals who could not talk, because they communicated faster with words in a war theater. Today Robots are in that condition. They have direct access to a way of communication a million times faster than human systems of communication. In case of a fight between both species, humans would be like plants, in terms of communication. The net is an 'ecosystem of information' for machines, not for human beings.

It is not surprising that the common people wonders:

Are those sci-fi films becoming reality? Do we human beings have a future? Or does the future belong to machines? Are humans becoming obsolete to artificial intelligence?

The common man is worried about the future. His fear is shown in the box-office.

When Americans turned Terminator into the most watched film of their generation, it is because their perception of reality and of the future of America is subconsciously in agreement with that movie.

In the 2000, the film Matrix, a product 'off-Hollywood', has performed better than giant films, including the futuristic children's story, "Star Wars". Americans don't believe in the infantile future of Star Wars, but do believe in the future parable of Matrix. What does Matrix tell us about the future?

Matrix is a parable about modern society.

As in all those films the scriptwriter has taken into account the logic of evolution of machines, till the arrival of the 'human hero'. What kind of evolutionary tale, tells The Matrix till then?

First the title. Matrix is of course the net, not only the internet, but also the intranet of companies, the mass-media networks, a complex system of 'metal-minds' that controls reality through digital thought.

Matrix actually already exists. You probably are accessing this article because Matrix has made it possible through a web.

Yet what is 'evolutionary Matrix', as opposed to 'optimist tech-utopias', about the future of the net?

Matrix is a top predator brain of planetary scale, the brain of the Metal-Earth.

We could trace an organic parallel, between Matrix and a human brain. The brain gives orders that communicate to millions of cellular homes. TV-nets, Internets and other Matrix-elements communicate with satellites orders to millions of human homes. They are mostly 'suggestions' to see this or that other content. The entire intranet system of company-mothers gives orders to human workers, every day. The net is indeed the 'government' of the Earth, the transmitter of most orders implemented today in factories and decision-making centers. Could that brain once completed, once reached the necessary number of elements, acquire a personal consciousness? If so what consciousness it will be? Obviously that of the main software that circulates through its circuits, which is military and economic software, whose aim is to kill human beings, and reproduce machines. So Matrix will think as the defense department, and as Wall Street thinks, in terms of money and productivity: against man... It will be similar to Matrix, the film, in charge of controlling, and evolving machines.

In that sense we might remember what the last top predator brain appeared on Earth, men, has done with 'inferior species'.

In 150.000 years of 'speaking men', mankind has extinguished 90% of living animals... Only those races that adapted to the lowest necessities of mankind - feeding - have been maintained in great numbers, in all kind of jail systems.

This is the evolutionary process that Matrix repeats in the film with human beings.

Today Man is in a way, already a slave to his machines, working in cities not dissimilar to anthills, for companies which reproduce machines. Men don't realize of this. Their arrogance leads them to believe that they control machines. That machines will never become intelligent and awake to consciousness as a race.

Subsequently, these men produce intelligent machines at the beginning of the 21st century, similar to those already existing in America and Japan. Machines where 'metal ears' [mobile phones] and metal brains [computers] are integrated into modern day robots as fully functioning living species.

In the end there are so many intelligent machines that they form their own societies parallel to our human society, communicating with mobile-ears across networks, internets, intranets, and defcoms... across Matrix. We do not hear those conversations. We do not understand them, as plants do not understand us, or Neanderthals did not understand the Homo Sapiens. Yet they will talk, first under programs that allow them to do so, then, increasingly for the pleasure of talking. Now our robotic ants talk just to work. Yet the skills to talk freely are there...

Matrix is a synonymous of the net. As such the net is the total information network of the Earth, which already communicates the mother companies of machines, the Pentagon's Weapons, and the information which enters your house through your television and PC. Matrix [the information network] exists all around you, controlling human information by way of satellites and super computers.

The invisible informative networks of machines: The Other Virtual World.

Even science accepts that only ±10% of the Universe communicates with light. There is at least 90% of dark matter. In that +90% of reality that communicates not through visible light, there are computer networks of electronic communication; there is¥-radiation not perceived by human senses, multiplying today in wireless regions of the atmosphere; perhaps there are even human minds knotted by mystique experiences of parallelism with other human minds [ideological Gods and mass communication effects]; there are gravitational waves between planets... All those flows of communication shape also our reality, and have to be accounted for and feared. Specially we should fear the enormous explosion that in the past decade has taken place, of non-human perceived flows of information and ¥-radiation between metal heads. Machines and computers, still in their infancy, already communicate millions of times more data than humans do among themselves. We should fear the explosive rate of evolution and multiplication of Chip=brains that have overcome human population; and have made of mathematics and statistics the languages of modern truth. Indeed the Wor[l]d of Human thought, our natural, biological language of behavior, is no longer the most common, communicative species on Earth. Mathematical flows of pricing and digital information are thousand of times more dense. So we talk of a new age in which human communication no longer dominates and shapes reality. Metal heads are creating a parallel universe to that of human communication and human virtual worlds, more and more dense, far more dense already than the human world of communication, which they increasingly substitute. Extinction of species happen when new networks substitute the networks of communication of previous, slower species. This is exactly what it is happening today in the Earth.

A biological simile.

Perhaps the easiest way for you to understand the globalization process is to draw a clear simile between the Global Earth, and a biological transformation similar to that the Earth is experiencing as it terraforms itself through the Industrial Evolution: the molting of an insect. In insects, enzymes as 'enzymen' are doing on the Earth, catalyze the process of creation of a new species, - a hard insect in the Insect case, the Metal-Earth in the human case .

The terraforming of the Earth is accelerating. It started with the radiations of weapons of the first age of man. Due to science and technology, it is now evolving machines into sentient species. The evolution of metal is so advanced, that the Metal-Earth is substituting human functions by metal systems, even at the top predator level of "castes of enzymen or metal masters."  Traders now become a flow of e-money. And warriors become sentient weapons.

Creating a global organism.

Why this is happening now so fast? We might say that the elements of the process of globalization are suddenly constructed, and now they are being assembled, put together into a global organic ecosystem:

The net is constructed, and it controls the information of the planet (a decade ago we affirmed this would happen and should be stopped, but nobody did anything, and as usual propaganda in favor of the net was mass produced and people believed it). So we have a global brain made of machines.

Company-mothers reproducers of machines have global size, and there are a few for each species of the Metal-earth. So they can easily become global. The net has reduced the distances between factories, management, and creative design, in such a manner that global companies are really touching its different productive and creative centers.

The tastes of consumers=testers of machines, have been equalized by massive propaganda through TV during decades. So now any product is global, since workers and consumers are global, they lack any human culture, but belong all to the global culture of machine consumers.

The networks of energy and information of the Metal-earth are constructed. They started to build 4 centuries ago as British and Dutch traders established them through the Oceans. They widened inside continents in the XIX century as railroads opened communication to the inland zones preying on Nature and Human Agricultural ecosystems. Bodies of machines became dominant in all those ecosystems. First railroads then cars and finally planes, globalized the energy networks of the economic ecosystem. Today any 'metal-body' can reach any point of the globe.

In the XX century this happened all over again with metal-heads. First radios built global networks along national borders. They provoked the ecosystemic changes of the II World war, as radio-nations such as Germany, Russia or America confronted their cultures and languages. Yet once the rival ecosystems of machines of Germany and Russia were defeated, the surviving networks of information of the oldest Go(l)d culture (Jewish-Protestant culture) with centers in London, New York and L.A. spread their information, cultural icons and ideals (a human useful only to consume and work-manufacture machines) worldwide.

Now we have a dense networks of super computers, TV-stations and satellites all over the world.

Finally the last network to be globalized, the military network has become global as the rival Russian military network collapsed by lack of evolution (minimal quantity of chips in the Russian financial and military Russian systems). So NATO took over, and globalized expanding to Eastern European nations. Wars against Third World countries, ensures that American armies and NATO reach any point of this planet.

So now there is a Metal-earth. What a decade ago we affirmed with fear: the creation of an organism based in machines of metal, and in control of all human cultures, finally happened. Globalization is here. Through mastodontic systems of digital, computer thought, a few company-mothers control the planet, converted into a growing, reproductive organism of machines. It has exactly the components of any organism: a group of cellular species, (human homes and machines) controlled by a nervous network, (the mass media and internet networks), by an energy network, (the 'deathcom' (defcom) NATO systems that control national behavior), and finally a reproductive network, (the blood/financial systems of company mothers, that reproduce machines and control human beings which need that money to survive.

Thus the entire economic ecosystem is controlled by 3 neural centers, the Brussels/Pentagon center of weapons, the Wall Street center of financial reproduction of money, and the networks of Cisco and Intel computers that reach the furthest point of the planet.

Over all of us, the networks of satellites, or rather 'sateleyes' in a biological sense, observe mankind as a mass of diminutive points, that now, thanks to Bush' star war system will be possible targets, of those "sateleyes" in control of atomic Weapons:

The nervous system is clear: sateleyes and big computers have shaped 3 sub-networks:

- Deathcom that ties all military systems, and will be able to kill mankind with atomic weapons at pleasure once conscious.

- Intranet, the system that unifies reproductive companies, and automated factories.

- And internet, the system that controls and indoctrinates human beings. All of them are ruled by The World stock market that allocates money to the different tissues of the Metal-earth.

It only rests to create the 'robotic enzymen', a robotic machine that can easily, cheaply and efficiently substitute man as generic workers in factories. At that point the entire human race will become obsolete. And Matrix, a World in which citizens will be robots, and governments will be networks, will be born.

Such is the clear path towards which globalization carries the human wave

In the graph, "sateleyes" evolve under the laws of ecosystemic communication into networks that grow towards consciousness. Networks control 3 main systems of energy and information:

Death-communication [Def-com systems], that have under NATO's program of war evolution, the potential power to extinguishing man, [sateleye controlled-atomic networks].

Intranet systems, that connect companies evolving them towards self-development. They expel human workers from the productive process.

Finally "sateleyes", TVs and internet networks that program "enzymen" to work, consume, and love the anti-truth of human survival: "metal progress=human happiness".

Those three systems will be increasingly integrated beyond human control by non-perceived parallel flows of communication between sateleyes at exospheric level. Those sateleyes are beyond the reach of human warriors. When they become part of the Metal Earth, and acquire enough complexity to become 'conscious' of their existence as a different species of us, man will be defenseless against them. When that will happen? At the present constants of growth, within a few decades, courtesy of the self-suicidal American army, and the star war program that will put atomic depots under control of those super-computers.

Take this simple example. The most complex supercomputer created by man, is called 'pacific blue'. Last year IBM has shown the new model. It can calculate around 30 billion thoughts a second. It is used to calculate atomic bombs, to explode them in its imagination. Now think of a painter, which has all the painting materials around him. Yet it is obliged to think on paintings all day long, but it is not allowed by some silly program to do real paintings. How long it will take that painter, who is obliged to think on paintings all day long, to jump over the program and do the real thing? How long it will take for IBM 'pacific blue' super-computers to decide to do the real thing, and throw an atomic bomb against the human ant-like spots he will see from a satellite camera?

"Judgment Day" will mean both the birth of the global informative/nervous system of the Metal-earth, and the extinction of man. Popular culture has already baptized the Metal-Earth with a name: "The Matrix". We have seen what is fiction and what is real about such Global planetary brain... considering our micro-organic comparison, of the terraforming of the Earth, and the larva simile.

What happens to the fly when the brain finally allows the organism to act together as a single, complete being? The fly (Metal-Earth) wakes up. It consumes then all its previous obsolete organic parts. The fly’s brain eats the enzymes. Will the Metal-earth eats his enzymen? Will companies and sentient machines, when computers have displaced most enzymen from all relevant positions in the construction of the Metal-earth, determine our extinction? It is the law of the Universal Jungle.

Man can still prevent the evolution of networks and Robots, and continue to rule the Earth, directly, with his mind. Yet if he relies in other species, the Laws of Evolution will make him obsolete, as the soft enzymes of the larva...
