The 3 cycles of the American culture, and the probable future, as America enters in its baroque age.
The understanding of the cycles of History and Economics was for very long a "Ptolemaic" science, in which the lack of very simple concepts and laws to understand the changes and rhythms of human history, made the concept somehow too imprecise and esoteric to be taken seriously. There were for sure several rhythms in history, and many sociologists, economists and historians had hint at the fact that the basic processes of history and economics (cultural trends, wars, pendular movements from freedom to tyranny, stock market cracks, recession and booms, etc.) were cyclical. But neither the underlying reasons of those cycles not their exact rhythm was known fully.
In that respect in the past decade two interdisciplinary efforts are remarkable: a comprehensive scholar book, that set the basis for these two new sciences, "A Theory of Unification: Bio-history>Bio-economics" (©95 www.bookmasters.com), and a web-magazine, 'Future' ©97, that applies the theoretical models of bioeconomics and biohistory to the analysis of the World today, a dominant economic ecosystem - the global free market - in growing control of a number of Historic organisms (nations, civilizations)....
This web hosted by the author of "Bio-History>Bio-economics", invites you to learn more about those disciplines through a synoptic analysis of their main biological concepts, put to the level of a non-specialist. It does so through a series of links to pages that illustrate and explain those concepts.
Finally for those interested in an exhaustive analysis of those subjects it gives you the possibility to download 4 basic books on those disciplines.
